About CGCERT Society
Chhattisgarh Certification Society India for Forestry & Agriculture (CGCERT) is an autonomous and independent Society registered under the Chhattisgarh Society Registration Act 1973 (S.no. 44 of year 1973). It is located in State Forest Research & Training Institute (SFRTI) campus , Near Old Vidhan Sabha on Baloda Bazar road in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
It is a state-government-promoted certification body working under directions issued through APEDA. Presently scope of CGCERT includes certification in crop production, organic food processing, handling and trading, input approval and imported agricultural products.
It has been accredited (NPOP/NAB/0018) by National Accreditation Body (NAB), Ministry of Commerce & th Industry, New Delhi under National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) 2024 8 Edition.
Presently it is catering to 37960 farmers in organic certification spread over an area of 76715 Ha in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Karnataka.
It is proactively serving local tribals in MFP organic certification over an area of 475955 Ha in Chhattisgarh.
The staff at CGCERT are highly competent and have completed trainings on NPOP 8th Edition 2024 Regulation and Procedure, ISO/ IEC 17065:2012, QMS, ISO 19011, Audit Procedure, Sampling and other Certification requirement, Traceability System and Mass Balance, FSSAI Organic Regulation 2017 and Labelling Requirements
